Rufus' Diary

Great walks these last couple of mornings, pretty snow. Buster and I love snow, in fact Buster got quite animated today, usually it's me that wants to run around and play and Buster is like "Stop bugging me, I just want to sniff everything" but today he was running around wanting me to chase him.

Busty's pawprints

Our play fighting was a bit full on

both of us had small amounts of blood around our mouths but we're ok. It's what dogs do.

    1. I think he would probably hesitate at first then run wildly around in it! It's melting now, thank goodness. x

    1. The snow is thawing now, I hope that's the last we have of it.

  9. I imagine that with so much snow on the ground, all the interesting smells have been covered up, but maybe not? Maybe a dog's nose is sensitive enough to pick them up all the same?

    1. They do have a powerful sense of smell and I'm pretty sure they can smell through the snow. They can be running along full pelt, suddenly stop and backtrack to something interesting!

  10. This is so beautiful! Your snow looks lovely and your dogs -- oh, so darned cute. There's something fun about dogs in the snow. I'm a cat girl but when I see a dog in the snow, I laugh and laugh -- they have such fun!

    1. You're absolutely right Jeanie, I love to watch them playing in the snow, they just throw themselves around. It's as if they have just discovered it, which is about right as it's so infrequent over here x
