Our welcome to Jaisalmer, in the heart of the Thar
desert, founded by Rawal Jaisal in 1156 AD.
We visited another
fort, a Hindu Temple and then had a good walk around the town, mingling with
the locals
which was nice, and gave us the opportunity to browse in bazaars and
shops.
No health and safety here.
This was in the middle of the street, it didn't even have railings around it!
Apparently the lady in the bright green sari was a widow, that's the colour they wear,

I don't know for how long, maybe until they find another husband.
Perhaps it's a way of letting suitors know that they are available!
